Instead, it is a chance for you to let someone else envision themselves in your home. If it looks too much like your style, if there are too many family pictures, or if the house is too unique it is likely that people will come and say "that was a nice house, but I can't see myself living there."
Instead, change our décor to be more neutral. If you have to, paint a wall so that it is neutral colors instead of the yellow you initially did and so forth.
3. Showing Off Your Pets
If you have pets in the house, get rid of every sign that you have them. Feeding bowls, beds, or any type of animal hair should be removed from the house. Even pet lovers may not be thrilled about the fact that someone else's pets have made the house "dirty." This doesn't mean that the house is dirty, but it could easily be perceived as such if you have pets.
